Proof Please LLC

About Us

Proof Please was founded with passion and purpose. Our staff provides a personalized approach to investigations through cultivating and nurturing relationships with our clients.

Our founder and president is Cindy R. Earl. Cindy has always been a curious person which lent itself to her career as a research specialist for a real estate solutions firm. Often going down a rabbit hole in the records rooms of various courthouses all over Virginia, this was when she realized her love for investigating.

While studying to become a private investigator, Cindy became a caregiver for her grandmother during the stay-at-home order of the COVID-19 pandemic. After navigating the complexities of caregiving while attending school full-time, Cindy took special attention to a Family Violence class that highlighted situations she’d seen, and her grandmother experienced. This is where she found her niche in elder abuse investigations.

Cindy is uniquely qualified because she was a caregiver for 12 years, and she is an advocate for elder justice. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Hampton University and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Public Law at Tidewater Community College. She is a 2024 graduate of the Vann H. Lefcoe Leadership Development Course and a 2024 graduate of the United Way of South Hampton Roads Project Inclusion Board Governance and Leadership Development Program. Cindy is also a member of the American Bar Association, the National Association of Professional Process Servers, and a former member of the Association of Certified Background Investigators. She serves on the board for Silver Care Dementia Center, an organization that supports people living with Dementia through a night program, providing them with a safe social environment and educating their caretakers. Cindy is also the founder and chair of the Proof Foundation, an organization committed to improving the lives of older adults and seniors through intergenerational relationships.

Outside of Proof Please, Cindy is a full-time law student who enjoys reading, traveling, and music. She is extremely family-oriented and passionate about helping others.
